We believe that you can become a better endurance athlete by engaging in a systematic and periodized resistance training program. Our goal is to encourage your safe and effective utilization of this room for the expressed purpose of improving sport-specific strength and power for your sport.

  • Effective resistance training (both on- and off-bike) can make you a better athlete
  • You will not become a competitive weightlifter, powerlifter, or bodybuilder
  • A sound resistance training program can be a major factor in injury reduction
  • Cadence staff will oversee and supervise your resistance training
  • Cadence resistance training goals:
    -first, complete preparation of the body’s muscular system;
    -then, shift focus to strength development;
    -once strengthened, our aim is to create more useful power;
    -finally, we'll maintain muscular strength and power throughout your competitive season
  • To accomplish these goals, Cadence will emphasize:
    -your acquisition of safe and effective exercise techniques
    -a primary reliance on ground-based, total body lifts
    -an optimal blend of flexibility, strength, and power training
